This trip was more Don's baby than mine, a fair trade for my Cuba trip. But I fell in love with the jungle: new sights, sounds, and smells. Tofino took us to three very different experiences, all of them memorable. We paddled and laughed and learned. Once again, the local guide partner, Sebastian, won our hearts. A truly amazing trip, even if it did cause me to move my knee replacement up!

The mile-long hike from the river to the lodge on a lake was far harder on the porters.

Although I harbor a fear of heights, I climbed 14 stories [with a bum knee] to end up 94 feet above the jungle! Then I traversed a swaying bridge 940' long in 98ﾟheat with 90+% humidity. Truly scary. Glad I did it. Won't do it again.
